Default New user looking for feedback

    Hello everyone,

We are a southern California manufacturing company that is seriously considering implementing SugarCRM Pro. and we would like to hear from other companies that are currently using Sugar to gain some insight into the likes/dislikes about SugarCRM. We are planning to do an onsite implementation of Sugar Enterprise and we plan to use outlook as our email client. We will have approximately 45 users with some of them using the offline client from remote locations and we will like to use Sugar to handle our RMA processes as well. Any feedback would be greatly apprecitated specially from similar electronics manufacturing environments.

    Thank you.
    Milton

Sugar is a great product but I would seriously test the email functions before I commited to anything other that the open source version.

I'd check the Email system before commiting to anything INCLUDING the OS version. If you're in an Email centric environment Sugar is unlikley to offer the support you need.

The other point I'd make is that SugarCRMs Quality Assurance doesn't seem to be that great. There are small niggles and bugs with the code that don't seem to get ironed out (e.g. sort order of My Inbox), and some things which are blunders (such as the current cross site scripting vulnerability in the Email reader).

In short if you're expecting SugarCRM to be just another piece of software you install and leave to do it's job because it what you need without irritating you then you might be in for a rough ride.

Thank you for the advice I'll keep these points in mind.
