new user - some basic questions

hi
we are currently looking at a crm package and have come across sugarcrm.

just a couple of questions which i hope you can help out with
1. What is the cost of sugarcrm (pro and enterprise) - is it open source free? or is there a cost for commerical open source.
2. Best OS to run - windows or linux (we prefer windows as i understand it better)
3. Australian customise - ie settings currency etc.

SugarCRM OS is 100% free. If you are interested in finding out the prices of Pro/Ent, email sales@sugarcrm.com

2. Best OS to run - windows or linux (we prefer windows as i understand it better)

SugarCRM will run completely fine on both systems. As a matter of fact, it is OS independent, so long as the operating systen can run PHP and MySQL.

3. Australian customise - ie settings currency etc.

We currently don't have any Australian currency settings, but you can look into modifications that are available on SugarForge.org
