Newb here with a few general questions

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what Sugar can and can't do. Sorry, we're just not very tech saavy but we're trying, and we know what Open Source is and we support it.

I'm part of a small vacation rental company that is looking to make the big jump.
We've had a small website but now we need something bigger, and we need a CRM that is centralized and able to handle a lot of different kinds of data.

my questions were about what Sugar offers me.

Will it be easy to integrate the CRM into our client-end website - so we'd like to have someone be able to make an inquiry about an apartment, see available apartments, see available dates and book - we'd like to see this data updated automatically (as we currently do it all manually in spread sheets) into our database.

we have about 5 employees who would be users.

Hi there,

I can't give you a definitive answer, but I can give you some things to think about. First, you could accomplish what you want to do using SugarCRM as the platform in which to build the pieces you need, but "out of the box" it would be a stretch to bend Sugar's "contact/account/opportunity" core to your requirements. Plus, it sounds like you aren't a developer, so to have a successful project you'll need to find someone to help you design and build your solution.
You can find several solid development firms by posting your requirements to the Classifieds section of this forum. Knowing how much the work will cost, and budgeting some for maintenance/upgrades, will allow you to get a better idea of the total cost for this idea.
