Newbie installation wizard problem

Hi,
Everything seems to go swimmingly
Then i get this at the top of one of the pages

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/sugar/install.php on line 221

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/sugar/install.php on line 226

I just wanted a trouble free wizard installation, where have i gone wrong

You should not have these warnings.
Wich version of MySQL do you use ?

PHP is version 4.3.10 (upgrading soon to 4.4.x)
Apache is 2.0
MySQL is 4.0 (upgrading soon to 4.0.25)

You shouldn't upgrade to 4.4.0, since 4.0 won't install under 4.4.0.
