    Default Newbie Question

I was taking a look at the Sugar Open Source Demo and had a "simple" question.

    Here goes..

I see a place for "Contact", "Accounts" and "Leads". What I want to do is take a contact and move it to a lead (based on the contacts desire to move forward with me) then to an account ( assuming they buy). Then set up events in the calendar based on the purchase date to follow up with them (for example if they bought on 7-24-07 then an event would automatically go into the calendar for 3 weeks later). Is this doable in the open source? in Professional? Thanks in advance.

Hey Newbie, your contact starts out as a lead, once they want to move forward, you then convert them into a Contact, Account & Opportunity.

They should start out as a lead and only be a valid contact once they are ready to do business.

Thanks Joe. Is there a way to move them along the process without having to manually type in the information over and over? So that once I put them in as a lead I can click something or have a drop down option to move them to the next phase?
