Hallo
After doing some research it seems that there is presently no working offline client for sugarcrm that runs on a pda(Windows CE) or similar devices.
There is definitely a big need for something like this!!!
The only synchronization available is for Outlook and that means only data like contacts and appointments can be synchronized. So what if you have a custom module and you want to use that on a pda when your offline?
Synchronization technology is available in the form of Sync4J but you still need to develop some sort of user interface and a up-to-date server connector(the one available only works with sugarcrm 3.0 or something).
I found a php interpreter and web server for Windows CE (http://mobileleap.net/hph/) to maybe run a stripped down version of sugar but the problem is it is only a Alpha version and I’m not sure if it has all the capabilities to run an application like sugar.
If not php then developing a client using C++,C#, java or VB is probably an option.
Another problem is a database. Is there an open source db that runs on CE?
If anyone has any ideas or maybe want to help in starting a project like this let me know.
