    Default Offline Sync in Enterprise

    Hello!

As I've read in some older posting in some of these forums Offline Sync is done via an LAMP System running on the clients.

I'd like to know if all the data is transfered to the Offline client or just a part. I'm asking because I'm thinking about some problems when the database is very large and the clients computers are not that powerfull. Another problem are security issues. If all is exported to the Offline clients it will be easy for the users of this computer to have access to all the data. Sometimes this is not wanted.

Best Regards and thanks for any comments!

Hi infu, with the Offline Client, only data that is visible to you as a server-connected user will be available to you in disconnected mode. Thus, if there are 100,000 Account records on the server, and you have visibility to only 100 of them, you'll receive only 100 Accounts.

Also, an Offline Client is bound to a specific user and is accessible only by that user.

    Hope this helps.
