Default One Record assigned to Two Teams

Quite often a situation occurs where, for example, one Account needs to be included in two particular Teams but excluded from a third. Using the Global team will not work because it does not exclude the third group. The best way to acomplish this would simply be to add the Account to both teams, but I am finding out that SugarCRM only supports a 1 to 1 relationship between teams and records of any kind. Is there any way to get around this in the Professional version?

I found SecuritySuite, but unfortunately it only works with Community Edition.

I've thought about making a version for Pro that is compatible with the built in Teams module but I'm not to sure if the demand for it would be worth the cost of entry.

    Hello jbalyo,

one work around is to create another team which is composed of the users from the 2 teams that you want to have access to that account.

A many to many relationship could be created, but this would require code customization

So then for a team set of A,B,C and D, you'd have at least:

    A
    B
    C
    D
    AB
    AC
    AD
    BC
    BD
    CD
    ABC
    ABD
    ACD
    BCD
    ABCD

Interesting idea, but for anything more than a 2-team system, it seems impractical. That's a lot of combinations... and as teams are added, the number of combinations inceases dramatically.
