Default From Open to Enterprise version

    Hello!

My company starts to use the Open edition of SugarCRM and looks like it satisfies our sales. But since all our other IT infrastructure is based on Oracle we will concern to migrate in the future to Enterprise Oracle based version. So the question is: How is it easy to migrate from
MySQL based Open edition to Oracle-based Enterprise? Is the table structure is similar? Are there some migration tools available and so on ?

    Best regards

    Hello again!

I'm little bit surprised that nobody from support or from SugarCRM sales-people doesn't answer me on this simple question? Does Sugar-team need no money or Enterprise clients at all?

    Hi,

They're located in California. Check their local time against yours at http://www.worldtime.com - maybe you need a bit more patience

Somehow I don't think there is a 6 day time difference.

Yeah may be I'm not so patient but it is just interesting for me how much time does it take for support to answer such a question...

And I'm curios about how much time such support will need to solve a real problem...

For Professional and Enterprise customers there are addtional forums, as well as the capability to address support cases directly to the Sugar Support team. Response times are usually well under 48 hours (even with the different time zones)

    - Open source is free (Open)
    - SugarCRM Enterprise is not free (commercial)

I think there is a kind of 'conflict' for a compagny offering both philosophy 'open' and 'commercial' for a same product (nearly the same). Most of the time if you need support or just help for Open Source sofware, the answer will be buy the product! In that way, I'm not really agree with the mention 'Open Source'. On the other hand, people using the Open source software and repporting bugs, suggestions, proposing code, and so one, are working for free for the Open Source community, but also for the pocket of SugarCRM, isn't it?

PS: It is why I will buy the product
