    Cool Opensource Install - How to clear the data

    Hello,

    I have to congratulate Sugar CRM for such a great application. I have it available as an eazy application on Sucessfulhosting which in fact is a great company with great customer service.

    Once installed I found this extraordinary amount of data included which in fact make it impossible to use as it is... Can this data be correctly reinitialized so I can start trying to use the SugarCRM?

    How, or who may we contact to clear this correctly and without causing any damage to the running application. I was all excited until I say this hurricane of data in the just installed application!

    Any guidance will be appreciated.

    in your config.ini file, change the property to

    installer_locked' => false

    and then simply hit the http://DOMAIN/install.php

    When you get to the database part, make sure that you unselect the "Create Demo Data" button.

    this no longer seems to be possible:

    Warning: To safeguard your data, the installer must be locked by setting 'installer_locked' to 'true' in the config.php file.

    is the error when trying the install.php

    I find the easiest way is to go into the MySQL database and truncate the data I use MySQL query browser. I know this isn't the best way it's probably the easiest. Don't truncate the users table or you won't be able to log back in. I'm assuming you haven't put any of your own data in? If you've put your own data in there isn't an easy way of getting rid of the crap. After you get done truncating your tables log back in and run the tools to prune the database (should already be pruned unless you missed something) Good Luck!
