In "Sugar_Open_Source_Install_Upgrade_Guide_v401a.pdf " under the "System Check Acceptance" the only database requirement is "Your database must be configured to work with PHP". I have oracle enabled in php and php working with oracle. Does this meet the requirements? I suggest changing to this something like "your database must be mysql". Actually the word "mysql" doesn't even appear in the installation guide.
Its pretty obvious sugarcrm has removed some code that enables Oracle support to their free software. Kudos to them for even keeping sugarcrm opensource.
Has anyone added their own code to sugarcrm's opensource base that enables oracle? How hard is it? How is maintaining it with current releases going?
Thanks
