I don't think this is a SugarCRM specific problem, but I wanted to throw it out for discussion since I have had a client ecnounter this problem quite often on quite a few different PCs:
The client can login, goto a listview, view details of and edit a lead, contact, etc. without error. However, when they click "Save" to save an edit, the default "Page Not Found" (local, MS -- not server 404) is returned in IE. This is typically on boxes with XP, without SP2 installed, and IE 5.5. It is inconsistent, but happens often enough not to write off as a fluke (1 out of 10 times perhaps).
I have seen this happen in IE with other aps and forms, but not as consistently in the same place as this Sugar example. Firefox has been my solution, but this is not acceptable in all situations.
I'm wondering:
1) Spyware reaking havoc on IE & causing interferrence?
2) The way the html/javascript is written in the forms?
3) Server-side redirects or processing delay causing IE to timeout?
Any thoughts or can anyone relate?
Thanks
Mike
