Bump ! Bump !
Hi there,
Was there major changes on the environment your migration? (Database, ports, DNS, infra etc)
have you looked on the error logs?

Another question is what system are you running it on? A hosted environment is most likely going to have specialized hardware for running LAMP architecture, thus Sugar will run faster. If you just threw it on a local PC then you're obviously going to get performance issues.

Your Sugar Version #
Your PHP version #
Your OS Server Type WIn, Linux
Your folder Permission Settings
Your Web Server Permissions
Your ASAPI handlers, or CGI config
Your Browser
Just as an example I run a test environment on one of my laptops that runs Sugar 5.1 and PHP 5.2.3 on an Apache shell
However my Business Server is running Sugar 5.5 and PHP 5.2.10 on Windows 2003 with Fast CGI
Etc... The list goes on and on as to which part is causing you your headache, But the last post is correct you cant expect equal performance issues right off the bat. You will have to work and work and reinstall all or most components until you find the right match for your hardware. Keep trying and you'll get it, there is no magic dust that anyone can send to you on that -
I have the same case : Sugar CRM run very slowly, much more than any other application.
I have installed Community Edition with FastStack in my PC.
Between every task I have to wait some 15 sec., it is impossible to work.
same for me, it's running really slow, but it is not killing me... just replied because i saw the thread.
I'm currently running my dev engine on my own personal, erm, pc. Its actually mac hardware, but it doesn't have a mac OS on it, so be it what you call it (my co-workers, being avid mac, windows, or linux users and having their differences, call it the abomination). I'm also running two apache servers and an array of mysql and postgres databases for testing purposes.
All that being said, I used a sugarcrm WAMP stack installation for 6.0.0 Pro and its running relatively slower than our production site. Certain functions, such as repairs, imports, or module loads, do take considerably longer, but other than those its not a hassle and certainly well within the expected range given my hardware.
One thing I have noticed, however, is that the new UI changes for Pro in 6.0.x do seem to slow down sugar a wee bit. I did a few benchmark tests with the default pacific theme and then the same tests with the classic theme, and (at least on my configuration, which I would argue is nowhere near standard) I had about a 17% speed increase with the classic theme.
Sugar also comes with a few performance configurations - the most noticeable one being developer mode.

I was just going to post if 5-10 seconds to get a page displayed was normal. I think it is not normal.
Looking in the php error log, I see 650 lines of PHP Standards warning statements for each page constructed and the time stamps on those lines span four seconds.
I am thnking on finding a place in the code to put an ini_set() statement to turn off PHP error_logging when running SugarCRM.
Please, clarify your environment.
Operating System, CPU speed, memory, internet connection, php version, mysql version, max_allowed_memory for php.
Cheers
