Payment and Shipment Tracking in Sugar CRM!

Hi Everyone,

We are looking for a CRM solution which not only provides basic customer support but also includes shipment and payment tracking facility.

Can you please help us to know whether SUGAR CRM supports this feature or not?

If not, will this feature be available soon in next version?

There is no such feature in the standard SugarCRM product but it should be simple enough to build a module that does that for you.

If you post details there are probably a couple of developers that would be interested to implement it.

Thanks for the response mate. Well, i was looking through different CRM products and i found splendid CRM supports these two features.

Is there any link between splendid CRM and Sugar CRM because their public license is associated with Sugar CRM.

SplendidCRM has no relationship with SUgar other than their original architecture was a .NET implementation of SugarCRM.

So, if you need tracking and are willing to go down the traditional proprietary software route, then Splendid is another traditional proprietary vendor only too willing to take your money.

If however, you want the freedom that Open Source brings, then see the post by mvngti ... and either invest some of your own time or engage with a development resource. It will be cheaper in the long term (I know that not everyone can think over the long term as short term budgets often constrain this)

Well, it sounds good to me. Another thing, i was curious to know about "Sugar CRM support on Amazon Cloud."

I found that it has community edition available on Amazon EC2. So, do Sugar CRM provide enterprise edition on Amazon Ec2 as well?

What will be the charges for Sugar CRM enterprise AMI on Amazon EC2?

What is the support model of Sugar CRM on Amazon Clouds?

If you can help us to know about all this, it will be easy to take our decision
