popup_helper.js illegal character on Select Contacts to Target List after searching

Hi,
I'm getting a javascript error when I'm trying to select Contacts to add to a Target List under campaigns. This only happens so far after I search for contacts. No error if I don't search.
The error is in popup_helper.js:
illegal character
var temp_request_data = {asynchronous_key: ...

Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm running SugarCRM Version 5.0.0e (Build 3276) on PHP 5.2.9 MySQL 5.0.75
