Default Pre-use Questions; Stand alone? Click calls?

    Hi folks,

Looking at SugarCRM as an interesting possible candidate for a little help line thing we'd like to put together.
However, I've not been able to confirm a couple of things.

1: Can this be run on it's own server, rather than on the trixbox itself, yet still having access to what ever it needs in order to make this a complete application?

2: I was told that SugarCRM does not in fact allow calls by clicking and such things, is this true? I am under the impression that this is very nicely integrated into trixbox.

Thanks very much for your help on this.

    Mike

Yes, SugarCRM can be installed on its own server

Click to call is a function that works if you have voip services (eg SkypeOut)
If you want to use traditional phones, you'll need a trixbox/asterisk thing to work with SugarCRM.
What do you think the cookie monster eats ?

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that I do have a trixbox
So the CRM could run on it's own server, yet connect to the trixbox as if it was running on the trixbox? Does it also handle things like VM, MeetMe and I'm not sure what else TB has.

    Thanks.

I'm not a trixbox expert, but I think it is so.
