Pro and OS licensing question

We are currently using the OS version of Sugar and love it, however there are some features of the pro version which I see could greatly benefit our sales team (that’s me).

My question is, can I purchase a single license for the pro version, and leave the rest of the team on the OS version (as they only use it to look up phone numbers once a week, and I can’t really justify getting a pro license for them if that’s all they are doing).

Unfortunately not.
First of all you have to buy a set of 5 licenses to start off
Second: The SugarCRM sofwarelicense does not allow you running OS and Pro on the same database.

Is this for real? Why is there a minimum of five licenses?

The reason I choose sugar (from salesforces) was to lower my cost, but this licensing makes sugar more expensive than salesforce.com.

salesforce (5 users) / team edition / hosted = $995 (from memory)
sugar (5 users) = 239 * 5 = $1195

what am I missing here?
