Problem with Users and Employees

Just installed SugarCRM and added 3 users everything OK so far, then I added an employee and I started getting blank screens when I try to go to "My Account" or create or edit a user. Is this a known bug...?? Is there a fix..?? Have I done something wrong..?? Just discovered that when I try to custom edit those html pages (e.g. Users/DetailView.html) nothing appears either. Can anyone shed light on this, as I am a newbie...!!!

I found the issue in Bug 4391 and by the look of it it hasn't been resolved yet. The only solution offered so far is to "backgrade" to version 4.0, which I have done and it works fine for me.

I just installed 4.0.1 and had the same problem. I clicked on"Reset to Default Preferences" in my account and this seemed to fix it.

One of the problems I experienced was that when I clicked on "My Account" all I got was a blank screen making it impossible to go to "reset to default settings". Is there another way, or was your problem slightly different? I'm working OK on version 4.0.0 but would like to update at some stage.
