    Post Problem using opt-out link.

    Experts,

I know that you need to check opt-out link in tracker when creating a campaign. So,I click on opt-out link and this is what comes in Trackerurl index.php?entryPoint=removeme.Preety straight forward.

But when I open up the email I see this link http://www.xyz.com/SugarCRM/index.ph...2-49590919a859 which doesnot exist. This is where I am stuck any comments/suggestions?

    Best Regards,
    Gagan

What do you mean with 'it does not exist'? Such a link usually fails if your server is not reachable from the outside world. Otherwise the click on this link calls a routine that identifies the addresee, sets the opt out checkmark (or creates an entry in the unsubscription list of a newsletter) and opens an html page with a message.

If you create an opt out link but do not place it in your email template nothing happens (no link), if you do not create one a system generated one will be used without asking.

ok, that's a different story. Did you try it from outside (as recipient)?

not much to suggest I am afraid. There is just one file involved (removeme.php in /modules/campaigns) that handles all this stuff plus a language file that presents the opt-out message. (LBL_ELECTED_TO_OPTOUT).

You should do a quick repair because that will recreate the cache folder, maybe the problem sits there. It would be also good to see what the log says (sugarcrm.log in the Sugar root).

try not sticking an opt out link in the email. It should autogenerate one anyway. Just see whether or not the link format is the same. It obviously doesn't sound right. May be worth a try.

    Hi Gagan

Edit the config.php at the root of your SugarCRM installation and look for the 'site_url' string.
Make sure the value for this attribute is the same address accessed through browser.
