It is a way to create a skeleton for projects which you might enter on a routine basis, thus, saving you the time necessary to have re-enter the same data every time you create one of those projects.

I've tried to use this feature but it seems pretty useless!!!

You can only save the project name and start and end dates. I wanted to create a project template with commen tasks already created.

I wanted to do the same thing as well as setting up a workflow that creates a project using a template every time a quote is closed. It does not seem as though Sugar is capable of doing this as of yet.

There is a duplicate project module available but I do not believe that it works with Sugar 5.0.

That doesn't appear to be universal behavior as, on my install, creating a new project from a project template with Tasks does result in a new project with said tasks attached .

Just tried it again, and I have got it to work.

It's not very intuitve, and having an add task button in tasks that does not add Project tasks is very confusing (only been a project manager for 12+ years!).

I finally realised that you have to click into the Gannt chart to add project tasks, again very confusing and the save button is quite well hidden in plain sight as well.

I wish the UI would be consistant across modules!"!
