Question about Reporting

Hi again, everyone!

I'm trying to work out how to do reporting. I've got the dashboards working fine, but I'm talking more about a report like you would create using SQL code from SQL Server. I'd like to pull out, say, all the leads a certain user has and maybe a custom field that we've put in for that user. How might I do this?

The Community Edition does not contain a reporting module, but what you want can be accomplished a couple of different ways.

1. Depending on your desired final output, you could use a simple PHP script that executes that query then prints out the results.

2. If you want something more like an actual report writer, you could use Zucker Reports: http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/zuckerreports/

Thanks so much for that! How similar is Zucker Reports to the advanced reporting module in Enterprize edition?

Not sure, I am a lot more familiar with the latter than with the former. But, from what I've read, it seems like there are some similarities in that you can write ad-hoc queries to generate the report in either.
