    Default Recommended stack

    Hi,

The Sugar documentation (release notes) keeps telling me since the beginning of the year that the recommended windows stack is based on Windows 2003 server and IIS 5.1, whereas AFAIK 2003 Server comes by default with IIS 6. Would someone help me sort this out?

    George

    Hi,

Support matrix always talks about the minimum supported version. The IIS versions are backwards compatible. What this means is that the application works on IIS 5.0 and above .

    Thanks

    Hi Manoj,

Yes, but here we're talking about a recommended stack, which is supposed to point to the software pieces that match together best. Which is probably not the case with W2003 Server and IIS 5.1.

    Thanks,
    George
