    Default Relationship Field

    Hi

I am looking for a way to build a Target list of contacts in the Community edition of Sugar. One of the selection criteria that I would like to use is held at the account level in a field that I have added. Is it possible to expose this field in the Targets area using the relationships functionality so that I can effectively identify the contacts in those accounts that meet that criteria.

    Thanks

    Justin

Why are you holding Contact specific data in the Accounts tables?

No matter, yes you can extract the data, but you'll need to build a specific SQL query to do so. The query will select the records and then you'll need to import them back into a target list.

Alternatively, you could fix the inelegant solution you currently have and associate the Contact related data to COntacts module. Then, using the "Power Prospecting" module from SugarForge, run an Advanced Search on Contacts and Mass Update all the relevant Contact records to a target list.

    Hi Thanks for the reply

The data held in the accounts module is Account data as it defines the partner satatus of that account. What I was looking to do was provide the ability to choose contacts from those accounts and add to a contact list.

I was hoping that there was a simple method to share thoses account level fields with in the contacts module.

Looks like that is not currently possible without doing a mass update

    Thanks again for the reply

    Regards
