Reminder: how it works?

I wonder how does reminder work, I've got a task with a reminder checkbox checked.

Reminder: 1 minute prior

And?? Nothing happens.

Actually I need something like alert(), isn't this it?

Hi magesor the reminder send a message box with some information about the activity (call, meeting,...). The only condition is that the application must be opened : if the focus is on application a msgbox appears to you; if you are working with another application, when you put the focus on sugar a msgbox appears to you
