Replace opportunity to account connection

Hey,

I am trying to replace the opportunity to account connection with opportunity to contact connection. So instead of the user having to input the account the opportunity is connected to upon creation of an opportunity. I want the user to input the contact the opportunity is associated with. (do not require the use of accounts at all) Just using contacts, leads and opportunities.

Has anyone done this before or know how to do this?

hmmmm.... managed to do it. In case someone else is looking for this solution, this is how you do it:

1. Go to studio and go to opportunities display and edit view layout.
2. Remove Account Name from both displays.
3. Go to opportunities fields, and create a 'Relate' field.
4. Name it contact_name, associate it with contacts and make it required (if you need to).
5. Save and go to the edit and detailed view layouts.
6. Add the new field to both layouts and save and deploy.

DONE!
