    Default Salutation

    Hi,

I tried to use the salutation field in a campaign. Unfortunately the inserted field for salutation puts the db value instead of the drop-down value in the email.

Can anybody show me how to use salutation in templates?

    Thanks
    Hannes

I found out that this wrong behaviour changes each time I test the campaign again.

    Example:

First "Send Test" leads to salutation is translated into DB-Value
Second "Send Test" leads to salutation is translated into Drop-Down Description of the Db-Value
Third "Send Test" leads to salutation is translated into DB-Value
Forth "Send Test" leads to salutation is translated into Drop-Down Description of the Db-Value

This seems to me as a serious bug?

    Any tips?

    Hannes

    Hi

Which version of Sugar do you use?

A customer reported a similiar problem - translated values were used while sending Test, db values were used when the real emails were sent. (Version 4.2.1)

    I didn't test it with 4.5 yet.

I'm not sure, but maybe this is related to bug 7034 due to be fixed in the upcoming patch.
