schedule a report to run once per year

I am trying to schedule a report to run on a specific date each year ? first of each month. ie a december report a january report etc.

You can't do this OOTB, but you can customize the Reports module mod_string 'DROPDOWN_SCHEDULE_INTERVALS' to add an additional option for year with the key being '31536000' and the value being 'Yearly'.
