Default Searching documents in Opensource version

    hi!

I'm working with sugarcrm opensource version to decide wether or not implant in my just new business.

For the moment it looks that it fits all our needs, but there's a little problem with document management.

When I create documents, they apear on document list. But when I search them, I only get the document if search query fits the document title from start. It is not possible to find on the description?

I've been looking on the php code and I don't find the place where the sql query is executed, maybe someone can tellme some details to modify the query.

I've been looking on this forum and I found something about knowledge base, it is suitable for the opensource version?

Anyway, does someone knows any opensource version for document management?

    Thanks to everyone!

    Xavi

I think searchDoc is your best bet, it indexes and allows the searching of documents. I have heard good things about Zuckerdocs as well.

    Good luck!

I am also having this same problem! I was hoping to change the query of the search for searching documents to be a LIKE SQL statement. Is there anyway to do this? I would rather modify the query than implement a 3rd party solution for my client.

I am running CE 5.0b on Linux / Apache / mySQL

Any help or thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.
