sending an email

Please can you help me

I have installed sugar CE 6.1.4 that is for windows on my pc and i have configured my email settings (smtp mail server) and when i click on an email of a contact, a popup box opens that is named "Quick compose" and i can write an email and send it to the corresponding person. This is working very well.

BUT then i wanted to install sugar CE in my server, so i installed the linux version 6.1.4 and configured the same email settings. But when i click on an email that i want to send email, I get a popup box that have the title "Performing task" with the content "One moment please..." and it nerver opens to create a mail.
What should i do, plz can someone help me ?

I bet there is some sort of javascript issue; can you do a Quick Repair and Rebuild and then clear your browser cache and try again? If that doesn't work please post the results of the ajax calls made to your server.
