Setting "Resources" in Gantt Charts

How do you enter the various options you can select in the "Resources" column in Gantt charts? Basically, I need to know how to enter the names of employees assigned to tasks so I can keep track of responsibilities within a big, complex Project. These employee names need to show up in the Gantt charts, too. About 15 percent of employees have Sugar accounts, so that's another limitation.

I can't get through to the the Sugar Support toll-free Hotline, and I need help desperately. E-mailing sugar support is no help either. Any assistance anyone can give is much appreciated.

Hello,

the Resources dropdown in the gantt chart populates based on the Resources submodule in the Project. Only the assign to person of the project (who is considered the project manager) can add resources to a project (Users or Contacts of the system).

So add resources, and then you will see they are available to select in the Gantt dropdown

OK. I see. So I have to add my employees as "contacts." That helps. Thanks.
