Hello,

I am trying to figure out a way to share custom (or predefined) fields between SugarCRM tabs. We would like to start out with the following three tabs:

Tab1 = Contacts
Tab2 = Employment History
Tab3 = Resume

The process of inputting the data for the above three tabs into SugarCRM, would take place something like this:

Step #1 – Create a new Contact under the “Contacts” tab and enter the basic contact information (name, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.).

Step #2 – Click the “Employment History” tab, locate the “Contact” created during Step #1, and enter their relevant Employment History (hire date, experience, etc.). In other words, this tab will allow us to further expand upon the information already entered for the Contact. Though, we do not necessary want these fields (information) to show up under the “Contacts” tab

Step #3 - Click the “Resume” tab, locate the “Contact” created during Step #1, and enter their relevant Resume information (Jobs, Experience, etc.). In other words, this tab will allow us to further expand upon the information already entered for the Contact. Though, once again, we do not necessary want these fields (information) to show up under the “Contacts” or "Employment History" tabs.

Basically, the information for a record entered under the three tabs would relate to one individual, though the tabs is a means to allow separating the data into smaller manageable pieces (which can be entered at different dates/times). Is this possible, using SugarCRM (i.e. to “share” common data fields between tabs)? If so, how should I go about setting this up (use Tabs, Sub-Tabs, etc.)?

Thank you,
Harry
