    Exclamation Slow/ Delayed Campaign Email Queue

    Hello All,

    I have been having some weird delay problems with my email queue.

    My Campaign Settings are set to 125 email batches and they are to be sent out every 30 mins from 0800 to 1600.

    It has taken about 5 days to send 250 emails. My settings all seem to be correct and I haven't changed anything since I first started using sugar about 1 year ago.

    The weird thing is that it has worked up until October. Since around the 2nd week of October it has been failing and moving very slow. I have spent countless hours trying to figure this out.
    I have been on the phone with support and have submitted approx 3 cases. The problem has yet to be fixed.

    Please any help will be most appreciated. Let me know if you need more info. I have attached some screen shots of my settings. I can provide pictures and details for anything that you need.

    Hello Again,

    Just as an example I had my scheduler set to run all day yesterday.

    In my "email queue" there were 16152 targets at 10:00 am
    At 9:00 this morning there were 15264 targets.

    Only 861 emails were sent. I have two licenses which allows me to email 2000 a day.

    My sales pipeline is beginning to dwindle. I really need to take care of this.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

    We're having the same problems here, where by the email queue is running really slowly, its also seems to be inconsistent sometimes it falls to almost nil output and other times it will come back up to a faster level, but still well away from what we'd expect.

    For example we ran a campaign yesterday to 25.000 recipients, the system scheduler ran the first 174 emails out then simply stopped. I began pushing it manually view the Email Queue functions. Then between 01:00am and 08:00am it began sending intermittently, and sent around 3000 in that time.

    We have our batch mail set to 500 per batch, and our scheduler set to run very 10 minutes, so we should be seeing 3000 per hour

    I shall continue to investigate, and if I find anything I will post it back to this thread.

    Hey ^ Thank you for your post. There is actually another thread started on this as well.

    Good news is that my campaign isn't completely stopped. It sent out 2000 in two weeks. This is no where near my our my bosses expectations but it is better than nothing. Sugar's reps wanted to remind me that our subscription is almost up. Unfortunately I have been experiencing this problem since the second week of October. I am pretty disappointed with how long this problem is taking to be fixed. As I previously mentioned there have been almost no problems up until this point. I haven't changed any of my settings and now its about a week between responses from sugar.

    First it was just a bug.
    Now they are telling me that my settings are wrong.
    I posted a picture of my setting and configurations and suddenly I don't hear from any reps for about a week.
    I just need to know how to fix the problem. I'm not really concerned with who's bug it is, I just want a solution.

    Okay,

    Turns out Verizon.net may be to blame for everything. I am going to be setting up a dedicated server to see if there are any changes. Everyone from both sides has said that this should do the trick.

    Verizon.net has very strict email policies. I thought that I was still under their limit (which is why it was working before) but apparently I send out to many emails for Verizon.

    I finally spoke with an advanced tech from sugar and the way he broke it down to me made it pretty clear.

    Step 1 get a dedicated server.
    Step 2: everything goes back to normal?
    I will be updating as I make the conversion and hopefully everything works out.

    Hey everyone,

    I was having some problems for the last two months with my outbound email. I went back and forth with Sugar trying to figure out what was going on. At first it was a glitch on their end and then we took a look at what server the emails where actually being sent out of. I use to send through "myaccount@verizon.net" <not a real account*

    Turns out after over a year of use verizon.net decided that I can no longer send emails with sugar. I experienced a extreme delay and spent countless hours trying to figure out what was going on.

    Finally one of the tech support guys from sugar came up with a solution. I have a domain name that is hosted through a seperate company. I set up an email server with our host. I set this up on Friday to make sure it was working for Mon. I checked it today and I'm back at 100%.

    I now send through "me@mydomainname.com"

    ****Also, I didn't have to get a dedicated server but I do less than 60k emails a month.

    I hope this helps somebody out there I know I was tearing my hair out trying to get it fixed.
