SQL Link to Sugar

Hi All,

I have a SQL database that drives data in our proprietary software which is used in our software for ordering, billing, etc. I'd like to use a direct link to the tables in that database to pull information into Sugar and be able to update it everywhere at once as opposed to importing and exporting. Is this possible? Any help would be rad, thanks!

There are multiple ways of doing this.

For example, you could use a tool such as Talend to run a nightly job that performs the task for you. Another option would be a real time link via the use of something called a calculate field (Check out the Custom Aging Field example on http://developer.sugarcrm.com).

Yet another approach would be through the use of a custom controller. You could even use logic hooks for the task.
