Hi,
I am new to SugarCRM and play a mainly commercial role (not very technical) so my questions may appear to be too basic to many. Please bear with me.
1. if we wish to offer our customer hosted SugarCRM services such as SugarCRM open edition or SugarCRM Professional, can we use Virtual Server (SUCH AS THIS http://order.1and1.co.uk/xml/order/V...op&__lf=Static) to host such services?
2. I am thinking whether it wil be a good idea to use each virtual server for each customer's sugar crm instance. This means that for each customer, we subscribe a virtual server to host for such a customer since this will save us trouble to figure out how to partition a dedicated server. Is this a feasible idea?
3. We are based in London. However, many discussions about hosting companies here refer to companies based in the US only. Does anybody know any suitable hosting comapny for SugarCRM in the UK? From some discussions in the forum, it sounds like not all hosting services can support SugarCRM? Some seem to have problems supporting certain functions or programmes.
4. Does it matter to host SugarCRM in the US rather than in the UK for UK customers? Will it be too slow to host your services by a company in a different continent? People mentioned about Cartica and Superb with experiences hosting SugarCRM successfullybut they all seem to be based in the US.
5. For a small company with fewer than 20 users, what kind of server system requirements (such as CPU and memory) are needed?
6. I have never used any virtual servers or hosted servers. It sounds like that they have some restrictions in terms of what programmes or applications. This is the reason we need to be careful which hosting companies to choose and confirm that they can support SugarCRM. Is this correct?
Thank you for your help.
regards
BW
