    Default Stupid question from newbie

I tried the Sugar CRM demo and are thinking about using it for my company.

Is it possible to mark a contact person and/or a company with interest groups or bought products/services? I couldn't find this... For example, I'm offering courses and want to mark my students with the courses they attended, like "base", "advanced" etc. to keep track.

Then I want the possibility to select all students that attended "base course" to send them offerts etc. Is there a report/selection module in Sugar CRM?

    Cheers!

You could make each of your classes a 'Project' (rename 'Projects' to 'Classes' in the admin panel) then you can 'attach' a contact to a project (using the subpanels under a contact detail page)

I tried that, but in the demo there is only a "create" button next to projects in contacts view. I would need a "select" button then to choose my previously created projects/courses. Is this a matter of settings in admin or...?

It's pretty easy to add a select button to that. I write it up and post it later today.
