Sugar 4.0 and Sync4J

Has anyone successfully used the existing version of Sync4J with Sugar 4.0? If so, does anyone have any documentation/guide for implementing a wireless sync solution between PDAs and Sugar using Sync4J that I can take a look at?

Is it possible to use Sync4J with Sugar 4.0 even if the connectorsin Sync4J have not been updated yet? What are the consequence of trying to do so?

I am also highly interested in such a guide. I had a look at sync4j and the Sugar module but was not able to make it work. Since we still use 3.5.1 a howto for that version would also help.
