    Default Sugar Campaign Question

    So I've had some people answer "No" to my question - Can different people send out campaigns to their OWN user base with their OWN email address as the "From" address instead of this ONE common address?

    I'll ask it again - can you?

    If not, what is the alternative to do this? Can someone please point me to a solution? I have a userbase where they are not working in a team....they are working on their own, but will use the same installation. How do I set it up so that they can still use campaigns, but have their own email in the "From" field? Any way to do this using Sugar or any mods?

    Please let me know.

    You do not want to use your "own" email address for sending out campaigns, because there is another process that monitor's campaingn mailboxes for bounced messages. so if you user your regular mail box all message will be loaded into sugar by that process.

    The suggested process is to share the same mailbox for sending campaigns as application can handle muliple campaigns from the same mailbox. your users can specify a different sender name when they create the email marketing message.

    Hello Ajay,

    I have run a number of mass email campaigns and have attempted to make the bounced email processing work. I am able to successfully grab the emails out of my external inbox and bring them into Sugar, but the campaign is not recognizing or processing those that have bounced.

    Can you give me any insights on how I can make this very valuable feature work?

    I am running:

    Firefox 1.5.01
    Sugar 4.1

    There was a bug in the piece of code that processes bounced emails for campaigns, you may want to get ProcessBouncedEmails.php from 4.2 package, you need not upgrade the complete application.
    After this change delete bounced emails from the Sugar Application and run the process again.
