Sugar CRM community edition for business

can we use Sugar crm community edition for business application. If yes is there any restriction on the number of users also is there and licensing charges for the number of users using the application

The restrictions are that you get no support and won't see some very interesting features available in subscripted editions only.

You could do everything what you want with SugarCRM CE (customize, modify, etc ...) for your company.
The are no restriction for number of users.

My team is planning to host a customized SugarCRM site, that allow people to create account with monthly subscription fees.

I am looking forward to work closely with the community and release by the codes.

Could I do that? Are they any licensing or courtesy issues I shall be aware of?

You are free to do whatever you want and so long as it is Community Edition, there aren't any licensing costs for Sugar which would be of concern.

However, SugarCRM 6.x licensing is governed by the AGPL license, which means that any modifications you make to the code, you must make available to anyone to whom you sell it to, even if you only provide it as a service.

For my experience the main diferences between sugar instances are that sugar PRO has:
- Teams (security on record level)
- Reports module
- Quotes and Products

Whether do you don't need these features, you can work with CE without problem.
