Greetings ~
I have a particular need to satisfy, which I don't believe is currently catered for by any CRM. However, in searching for this holy grail I have clearly been most satisfied with the offerings and flexibilty of SugarCRM and so with premise believe that Sugar's architecture is the best platform to develop my needs.
My company is focused on consumer product development and marketing. We outsource our physical warehouse and distribution and also outsource our sales and merchandising functions. But, we keep a tight control on these duties by managing the overall efforts in-house, by directly employeed staff. This structure suits us well as it means that we can growth organically without internal bottle necks either financial or skills, but maintain a high level of control.
We need a CRM!! But not only one which manages the information flow and disemination of informaiton for leads and accounts, but also manages our staff in the feild. and it's this latter point whcih I don't believe any CRM currently caters. so my question is, an I wrong in my thinking? or, does anyone know if a feisible, managabe solution could be developed?
Let me describe my dilemma in more details by way of example.
I have more than 500 customers. I have a merchandising team of about 50 people. This merchandising team take care of the day-to-day needs of caring for our products in the field, making sure they merchandise our products to our required standards, and they also take orders as required; as an aside, our order taking function does not need work. but we find it very difficult at present to make sure we keep track of all the goings on in the field and with our customers. furthermore, we find it difficult to a struggle to manage leads properly. We want to become more efficient.
I want a system that not only tracks leads, accounts and documentation like most CRMs, in particular Sugar, but also enables me to track my field team almost like they were an account in their own right. I want to be able to
1.add a note to a field members "account" and have that information appear the next time they log in.
2. send a blanket notice to ALL field members and have it appear the next time they log in
3. have my feild members contribute notes to their accounts or leads, only and not have access to any accounts they do not manage.
4. add notes to accounts too, and have the fild menmber be able to read my notes
5. have my field members write reports and attach it to an accoutn so that I can then produce a report which enable me to identify at a top level who0 has been serviced, who has not and what the latest
6. create to do lists for my feild members for all accounts, selected accounts or a single account (depending on our needs) and have them able to print this information as a report they can then take with them to action
I want my cake an eat it too!
Any suggestionson how this may be achieved, or if a solution does exist would be most appreciated.
Thanks
