Hello,
I have just installed the 4.0.1b after upfrading from 3.0.1. Generally, much improved. However, there is one BIG problem I have with the mailer:
I mostly don't want to write HTML mails, since most of my clients (banks, insurance companies, telco, etc) treat HTML mail as spam. I understand that for marketing purposes and newsletters, that HTML is necessary. But what about for normal mail?
Is there some way to "switch" between HTML and text based mail? What about editing the mail PHP files and cutting out the HTML editor? Ugly, but it might work. I presume that I also have to set the MIME type of the outgoing mail.
Does anyone have a good idea here?
Also, the sugar team has been promising to fix a "no brainer" for a LONG time now: it should be possible to add items from the "documents" as mail attachments. So please, guys, if at all possible, get this into the next release. I think it would make using sugar much easier.
Regards
Bruno
