I have posted in the customer forums but have received no reply to my query. It appears that not many people frequent that part of the site

Is there a guide or tutorial online to guide someone through the process of creating custom fields in Sugar Professional? I am trying to create custom fields in Sugar Professional and it's just not working out. When I make the field, it displays properly on the account overview, however when I try to edit that account and work with the custom field, it disappears. I am learning the system in our deployment so I am a novice, but overall it shouldn't be this difficult to implement custom fields.

Sugar has several resources you can leverage to get up to speed on Studio.

• There is a Sugar University class called "Using Studio Extended Workshop" that gives you hands-on practice in an online environment.
• The Sugar Developer wiki has a number of topics related to customizations.
• The new Developer website has a tutorial on Studio (the new 5.0 Studio).

Also, make sure you add your custom field to all the layout views where you want to see it (detail view, edit view, list view, search form). You'll need to add it to each view, then save and publish your work.
