We have a small university departmental admissions group, about 8-12 representatives, processing about 10K inquiries per year. We use ACT, and the main feature is Email history attachments used for contacts, as well as all of the standard Contact management things.
Has anyone used Sugar for something like this/ We want to get off off ACT, because it's database is .Net only, and we are a java house, and we want to present a web front-end for applicants to see their application status.
1) has anyone used Sugar for an application like this?
2) Are there any simple portal-like web interfaces where the client could see the status of their account, not a sales-rep interface .
