[SugarCRM 6]Installed lang pack, chose it in "Locale" settings, but nothing changes

Hello,

I have installed a german language pack with the module loader without receiving any error messages.

Afterwards in the Locale settings page the language drop down liat offerend "Deutsch", so I chose it.

But nothing changed.

If I look into the file config_override.php on the server, it contains a line saying:
$sugar_config['default_language'] = 'ge_ge';

So I presume eveyrthing went right fom that point of view. Searching for ge_ge.lang.php files brings many search results in many folders, so the installation seems to have worked.

As far as I know in the folder cache\jsLanguage\ there should be ge_ge.js files, but there are only en_us.js files.

I deleted that folder a couple of times, but to no avail.

I switched to developer mode as well, because I read in a thread that it should help, but it didn't change anything. The CRM website is still in english, the system only creates en_us.js files.

I didi a quick repair, but that changed nothing.

I installed a french language pack and chose that one: same result, nothing changed (except for an updated entry in config_override.php)

Would anybody happen to know what else to check for, or has anybody run into a similar problem and has a solution to it?

Logout from sugarCRM and then, before logging in again, espand the "options" near the access panel. Select there the proper language.
