Question SugarCRM 6 Telephony Intergration module

    Hi there!

I currently installed SugarCRM 6.0 Community Edition and I want to integrate a dialer on it. I did found several dialers but I wasn't able to make it work. (some due to missing files after download and compatibility issues)

Can you help me find or recommend a module that will fit my version

    Thanks a lot

    Jessie Boy

    Hey Jessie,

Consider TrixBox along with X-Lite. We have successfully integrated both and also have a click-to-call feature for any phone number listed on SugarCRM (Accounts, Leads, Targets, Contacts etc.)

If you are doing it for enterprise purpose, then you can also have the call recorded on trixbox and then pull the recording in a sub-panel to record purpose.

    best of luck

Hi, I am really interested on this topic, does exist documentation for integration on SugarCRM 5+ Trixbox?

Well, after a while I managed myself to find out how to do this.

A good start could by find in

    http://www.voicerd.org/index.php/Voi...n_for_SugarCRM

The basic idea for Voice RD was to grant sugar app access to asterisk server using AMI protocol, see

    http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+manager+API

They generate a socket to asterisk manager, then send "actions", those actions include originate calls and so.

I was planning on using trixbox but ran into a problem with it not being able to be remotely installed on my hosted server so I went with a similar solution called Elastix. It has been working well and has SugarCRM, Asterisk, and freepbx.

When you say pull the recording in a sub-panel, are you saying you are able to display the recordings in Sugar? I have to go through the pbx to access the recordings and would like to have them displayed somewhere in in the contact or account screen.

Does your setup create activities when you click to dial contacts? Mine does not do that I would think that should be easy to configure.

Well, indeed you are capable to put asterisk recording donwload link on lets say the detalview so any user with permissions to see the sugar record may donwload the recording file from asterisk. Of course this is possible after you customize both sugar save actions and asterisk itself.

We might have a solution that meets your needs. It integrates Asterisk PBX server with Sugar, you can dial numbers and receive calls while working in Sugar and call records are available from Sugar as well. Please visit our product's page for detailed overview and demo videos:
