Default SugarCRM Community Edition for multiple users

Hi, I've been using SugarCRM for a few years now, but always installed locally in my computer and I was the only one using it. I am looking to install SugarCRM Community Edition in my company server for all employees, and I wanted to know if I can install it in a server and have simultaneous users accessing the application and sharing the same database.

The IT person from the company says that SugarCRM CE is a single user app and it is not possible to have more than one user accessing the same application and database.

Is that possible? Are there any limitations?

thank you very much in advance

SugarCRM CE can be accessed by multiple users at the same time.
Actually we have a customer composed by multiple companies around Brazil and they have around 100 users.
You just need to make sure the server is a huge one.
I sugest you to configure a dual core, 4 GB Ram, a good internet connection.
For better performance install sugar and database in different servers inside the same backbone.

    Cheers

Thanks André for your quick response!

I lead the marketing department and I need to integrate the tool for all the departments in our company.
So, one more question (and sorry if it is not very tech savvy, I have a very poor IT background!!): can I install the app in an internal server and access it only while in the domain or the users access through internet?

We are dealing with hacker attacks all the time in our website, so I I'm looking for an internal, non-public access only.

    It is your choice.

If you don't want it to be accessible to the public, all you need to do is simply remove public access from the machine that is acting as the server.
