    Hi Daniel

    In the Module Builder you can "Build Modules"
    You can choose the template of module (Person, Company, Basic, Issue), create the built in fields, set M:M relationships, configure the layout and so on. This only for new modules created into Module Builder.
    In the Studio you can customize the existing modules, the default ones and the just created through Module Builder.
    Using Studio you can create custom fields (saved into <table>_cstm), create or modify the dropdown contents, modify layouts.

    thank you for your answer!

    that means that i only create the basic structure with the module builder, and the niceties with the studio? (like special fields)

    Hi Daniel

    Module Builder has all feature in Studio, so you can do in Module Builder (for new modules) everything you could do in Studio.
    For the modules created using Module Builder you can create all necessary fields, required or not and set the layout accordingly to your needs.

    but why should i set the layout first in the module builder and later modify it in the studio? is this to create a default-layout in module builder and distribute the module, and other people can then modify the layout to their needs? why should i do the same thing in two different tools? this confuses me a bit,

    Hi Daniel

    You use the Module Builder until you publish the created modules.
    Once published into current installation you should use Studio to perform additional customization.

    Understand this way:
    Module Builder: to create and customize modules not yet installed;
    Studio: to customize modules already installed.
