SugarCRM + Financial Solution

Hello, I did search around a little bit on here... but I didn't find anything too concrete. Basically, we use SugarCRM for all CRM related stuff. We do financial work in an excel spreadsheet with forums ... but since we're in the IT business, we need a way to go back to invoices really easily. I've spent a while on this and looked into gnucash and SQL Ledger. Mainly, we want something that does all income/expense related stuff, invoicing, numbers.. if it connected to 2checkout or paypal gateway to show when an invoice was paid that would be great. In all my research, everything seems to point back to quickbooks. We run linux as our main platform so something linux and open source would get the trick done, web based is also a plus... but, I know someone else has been in this boat before and was just looking for some input.

You may want to check out our Info At Hand superset of SugarCRM - with Product Catalog, Quotes, Sales Orders, Packing Slips, Invoices, Payments Incoming and Outgoing, Purchase Orders, Statements, Receipts, .. And shortly a bi-directional synch with QuickBooks.

Info@Hand surely sounds great, but it's not free and not open source if I'm right.

That's right - like Sugar Pro/Ent, it is a commercial superset of the Open Source version. Details here.

My company is also looking at trying the OS version of this product. I thought I noticed in the online Demo that it had a Quote area.

I was hoping to be able to generate quotes, disperse leads, and show open orders through the system. Is that something Sugar OS is incapable of?

No - product catalog and quotes are in Pro/Enterprise - but not in the Open Source version.
