I am considering SugarCRM installed on my server as a front end for lead generation and appointment setting for my company and several others from my call center. We intend to I have a number of questions:
1. We have a proprietary predictive dialer system and would like to access the SugarCRM database for contact info, do our dialing and screen pops using our own software and then log call activity into the notes database. Any show stoppers on pulling/pushing data in the Sugar database?
2. We want to support multiple clients on the same server. Our company, client X, client Y, client Z and so forth. Can SugarCRM support multiple companies using the open source software on the same server?
3. We want the call center to set appointments for multiple salespeople, using specified "open slots" (for example, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3 PM for sales person X). Any significant issues with accessing the calendar tables and updating them via a custom module?
4. Sales people will access their calendar info, contact details, etc. via the Web interface.
5. We will be doing prospect development - new prospects will be receiving a series of mailings/emails/phone calls over a period of 4 - 6 months, so identifying them by some "campaign" ID would be important.
We are experienced with PHP, MySQL, MS SQL Server 2000 and .NET applications and can do some development on our side. Our CRM experience is limited to ACT.
Is SugarCRM a good fit for what we want to do? Anybody doing this already?
Thanks,
Guy Swenson
