Angry sugarcrm ¿ open source or closed source ?

I go more than two months fighting with sugarcrm and the first thing that I wondered age for the existence of a flowchart of information without any result ... looks and looks without finding anything and thread a few times. When I learned this science, the computer science they taught me that the whole analysis of an application bases on this ... on his flow of information .. the fway at which this program works....

this looks like to me a big mistake ... since it is of big help to have a clear idea of as it works sugarcrm.. Are The papers about the program small and does they skimp enough ... that you think about this? apparently does this document quote high place ... not all the credits costs .. but many owe ... maybe i have to search in the emule .... not that to do .. hear laughs ... from a distance there it remains above mentioned ...
    the base of sugarcrm ...
    does not exist? i
    mpossible...............

thanks for reading this .. to see that you think

I think your CS department at your school failed to prep you for the realities of this profession. A good CS department will teach you how to analyze how a system works by looking at the code itself. Of course, there's much more than that to a good CS program but that's for another discussion.

It's easier to just start digging in and figuring it out than to waste time complaining about something that can't be changed today. Documentation isn't going to appear out of no where. This is how "sugar heroes" or "sugar hackers" got their knowledge along with sharing that information with each other in an open forum.

If you have a specific question about how a certain part of the app works I'd be happy to assist you since I have invested that time already to learning how the application works. Anybody can do it without wasting that much time and it would stick with you longer. Docs are a good thing for getting pointed in the right direction as a starter but nothing replaces rolling up your sleeves and getting dirty.

P.S. I think you took my first post the wrong way. I was simply replying to your quote of how your CS taught to use a doc for a flow of information. I wasn't trying to bash you in any way.

I think what eggsurplus said was that there NEVER is enough documentation, never enough tutorials or videos or podcasts or white papers or...

It doesn't matter what product or what software. It doesn't even matter what subject. Did you come with an instruction manual when you were born? A script to your entire life that you could read to find out what the end of the movie is? I didn't think so.

In software, as in life, you are given some tools to use to get a start, then your wits to figure out the rest.

Tying back to Sugar, in true Community fashion, if you find out an answer to a piece of the puzzle, you have an avenue to share it with others. That's the purpose of the forums. If something is lacking from the community, you are encouraged to help build it. In the meantime, use the tools that are provided to you and you'll figure it out.

    Susie,

As always, you hit it on the head. I wish I could have stated it so eloquently.
