SugarCRM and OpenOffice

Hello Sugar experts!

I just found Sugar and it looks very interesting. Especially the connection to Word is good additional value.

Is a connection to OpenOffice available or planned or has someone experience with that? I think it even more contribute to the OpenSource philosophy to connect such free pieces of software.

If such connection is not available, is anybody out there who could develop it?

Hi Thomasi, currently there is no release planned which includes support for OpenOffice. Your point is well taken; it's just that we haven't heard too much demand for it.

We are very interested in integrating Openoffice support into Sugar. We are currently reviewing Sugar as a replacement for ACT. We are very much into opensource solutions. We have successfully migrated 60 users to Openoffice from MS Office. For the most part the roll out went fine. The downside is there is no direct support for Openoffice like there is for MS Office. So we have to try and reinvnet the wheel to get them to work. We are very much interested in additional support for Openoffice in Sugar CRM.
